  • But what’s the difference between them all? Let me explain. The purpose of your work – your company, your product – is the “why.” Why your work needs to exist. The mission is the “what.” What your company or product does. The values are the “how’.” How is the way you want your company or product to be built and created. The vision is the “where.” Where is it you’ll be, ultimately, if your company or product is successful. A picture of a better place. (View Highlight)
  • That’s why our vision of our company of product informs our work, not the other way around. When we have a clear picture of the place where we are trying to get to, it becomes astronomically easier to do our work, because we know where we are trying to go and now we just need to create something to help us get there. That’s how real progress is made. Deciding where you want to go and then focusing on how to best get there. When you’re clear on your vision and stick to it, it’s easier to for the world around it begin to take shape. (View Highlight)
